The ideal writer for this position should have excellent writing skills plus educational background or experience in their respective vertical. Dalyn Media is a new digital publication that provides clear, practical advice on business, career, and personal finance topics for the Nigerian audience. We create content that is localised and search-optimised to ensure Nigerians find the answers they need online. Our articles pass through a rigorous editorial process that involves intensive research, fact-checking, multiple editing rounds, and subject-matter-expert vetting.
Job Responsibilities
– Write long-form research-backed articles based on briefs provided by our Content Strategist.
– Use local and relatable examples and analogies to explain concepts and ideas.
– Optimise articles for SEO.
– Take screenshots to buttress points or examples, where necessary.
– Revise articles based on feedback.
– Participate in monthly writer meetings.
– Be a cool team member. 😎
Requirements
– Educational background or experience in business, finance, human resources, or career development
– Excellent writing skills: You must have at least three relevant writing samples that we can read.
– Excellent research skills
Nice-to-have
– Experience with content writing or content marketing
– Basic graphic design skills and knowledge of Canva
– Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing
Compensation
– Earn up to N20,000 per article. You can write as many articles as you can per month (usually two to five articles) as long as they meet our guidelines and requirements. We have clear pay rates for different writing tasks and you decide your writing capacity and availability.
